Cosmic music with the wind harp.
The seven meditative, cosmically tuned pieces of music on this album are based on the cycles of the earth, the moon, the planets and the sun associated with the chakras. The five strings of the electrically amplified wind harp are plucked or played with a bow. In the fourth piece they are made to vibrate by singing to them. Moreover planet gongs are played at some points in the music. The music composed by the duo Barbara Ostertag and Wolfgang Gleixner opens new doors into our minds and thus creates a wonderful ambience for deep meditation.

WOLFGANG GLEIXNER
Musician and sound researcher.
Wolfgang Gleixner had his first musical experiences as a five-year-old with self-made drums. The search for new sounds is his constant companion on his journey to become a musician, bringing him into contact with some amazing artists, teachers and scientists. The personal and musical insights he gained from this have flowed into his work. In addition to being a member of the Bavarian cult band "Haindling", he is collaborating on the project „CoMiCom“, a research project commissioned by the German government, in which his music is to be used to facilitate communication with coma patients.
The sound of the wind harp as heard on the CD has resulted from the intensive and creative exchange of ideas with Barbara Ostertag.
The wind harp played here is an electrically amplified instrument with five strings, which can be tuned variably. These are activated by playing them with a bow, plucking, and breathing on them. At the beginning of Piece No. 4 and during the final notes, the strings are made to vibrate by singing mantras close to them. In Pieces No. 1, 3 and 7 the corresponding planet gong is also played. Enriched with effects, such as echo and modulation, choir-like sound unfolds, rich in overtones, opening up new doors in our minds, acting as an aid to meditation. In this way the opportunity to reach „ spaces“ mentally is formed. The effect is best achieved by listening to the music with a good set of headphones.
